About the Temple

Located in Erra Gadda Paadu (Vengalapuram), this ancient temple is a symbol of devotion and cultural heritage. Sri Paleti Gangaa Bhavani Devasthanam situated on the banks of Paaleru river. After the fierce battle at Erragadda Paadu (Vengalapuram), this ancient temple was established in the year 1285 by the descendants of the Yadava king Katama Raju, who once ruled the Kanigiri fort. The goddess Sri Paleti Gangaa Bahvani is venerated as a deity of immense power and benevolence.
